Oh brother I can’t, I can’t get through I’ve been trying hard to reach you, cause I don’t know what to do
Oh brother I can’t believe it’s true I’m so scared about the future and I wanna talk to you
You can take a picture of something you see In the future where will I be?
You can climb a ladder up to the sun Or write a song nobody has sung
Or do something that’s never been done
Are you lost or incomplete? Do you feel like a puzzle, you can’t find your missing piece?
Tell me how do you feel? Well I feel like they’re talking in a language I don’t speak
And they’re talking it to me
Do you use your monitor as a plant stand? Ever water a plant and miss the pot (so to speak)? If you answered yes to both of these questions, then the flat panel monitor was invented for you.
Robert Bly lived for a while in New York City, where he set out to write 12 hours a day at least six days a week. He supported himself by working one day a week as a file clerk, or a painter, or a typist. Even though he lived in a big city, he was terribly lonely. He went for weeks at a time without talking to anybody. Occasionally, he had to spend the night in Grand Central Station.
Bly eventually moved back to his hometown of Madison, Minnesota, with the woman he married, and they moved into an old barn half a mile from the house he’d grown up in. He said, ” I still hadn’t shed my isolation; the nearness to my parents was difficult, as was the lack of work. I spent whole days sitting out in the fields. But there was peace. I had still had a great love of silence.” And it was there that Bly wrote the poems that became his first collection, Silence in the Snowy Fields, which came out in 1962.
Dear Santa,
This is my special Christmas list - see what you can do;
1 - Running shoes that propel me along, rockets would be nice.
2- Swim lanes painted on the bottom of the lake.
3 - Roadside assistance when I flat.
4 - For that matter - auto inflating tires !!!!
5 - Never ending water bottles.
6 - A wetsuit that is easy to get out of.
7- Triathlon coaching that doesn’t cost more than my bike.
8 - Airlines that don’t lose your bike. Or break it!
9 - Fail proof training and nutrition program. Yeah, World Peace would be easier.
10 - A bike lane on every road.
Some people
ascend out of our life, some people
enter our life,
uninvited and sit down,
some people
calmly walk by, some people
give you a rose,
or buy you a new car,
some people
stand so close to you, some people,
you’ve entirely forgotten
some people, …
some people look at you,
some people have never noticed you at all, some people
want to take your hand,
Dear God: When I get to heaven, can I sit on your couch? Or is it still the same old story?
Dear God: If a dog barks his head off in the forest and no human hears him, is he still a bad dog?
Sitting in front of their Christmas Tree - so cute!
